About DK Engineering & Machining

DK Engineering & Machining is a small, owner operated machine and fabrication shop situated in the busy industrial area of Slacks Creek, QLD, Australia.

We specialise in both high precision CNC Machining ,general industrial manual machining & breakdown work, as well as all types of fabrication and welding.

We run with a small highly skilled team of tradesmen employing lean manufacturing processes and workflows to ensure we deliver prototype to production run jobs as quickly as possible to meet the demands of the everchanging manufacturing workspace.

We have invested heavily in market leading technologies such as Zero-Point QuickChange Workholding to allow us to setup and run all types of jobs in record time.

DK Engineering & Machining was founded and run by Damien Kennedy in 2021. Damien is a qualified Manufacturing & Design Engineer who has worked across a wide range of industrial industries in both Australia, UK and Europe.

  • Dual-Qualified Manufacturing & Design Engineer / Boilermaker.
  • Wide hands-on experience in industrial automation, industrial machine & structural design for manufacture.
  • S/S pipework, Sheetmetal & Tank fabrication as well as light to heavy Steel fabrication.
  • Wide hands-on experience in manual machining as well as CNC machining for both turning, milling, 4 & 5 axis work.
  • Project management for many small to large scale design, manufacturing and automation projects.

Damien spotted the need for smaller, multi-skilled engineering companies to service the Brisbane area that could deliver a more tailored and client focused service compared to the larger engineering firms. He strived to supply solutions in a one-stop-shop environment with no job too big or too small.

Today, the team has built to 3 highly skilled tradespeople with a focus on Lean and Efficient Manufacturing resulting in happy and repeat clients.
